More than just jewelry
I am super excited to announce our Charity benefactor for 2023!
I have been searching for a charity that aligns with my values for this year. As you may already know, I have relaunched the brand with a focus on female empowerment. I hope to inspire you to connect with your inner powers and intuition. I still have a lot of work to do to help the brand emulate that and ensure that that message is clear – but I am working on it.
In the past, I have donated to environmental charities, specifically the David Suzuki Foundation and Wildlife Preservation Canada. Environmental issues are still close to my heart and they always will be. However, as a woman who has felt disempowered throughout many seasons of my life, I felt an especially strong need to connect to that part of me and work it into my business. I am on a journey to find my internal and divine strength, to trust my intuition, and to truly feel empowered and strong as a woman.
I’ve decided to partner with FORA for 2023, an organization that truly embodies the mission of female empowerment and works with young leaders to propel them in their careers and life. For every product purchased from Seren + Skye, online or via our retail partners, we will donate $1.00 to FOR A. I invite you to take a look at their website foranetwork.org
Fora champions the full participation of young leaders to redistribute existing power-dynamics in critical decision-making spaces, while enabling them to be disruptors and create a better, more inclusive system for future generations.
Fora takes a two-pronged approach to tackle gender inequality. We work directly with young leaders to help them overcome the gender-based barriers that prevent them from accessing leadership roles, and at the systems level to disrupt the environment that has been built to exclude those marginalized by their gender. We provide young leaders with the tools they need to enable change through:
- World-class training
- Mentorship & coaching
- Network & community building
- Advocating for more inclusive spaces
